Where you can see us

The club welcomes visitors and prospective members to our Friday running nights at the Auburn clubrooms. Please phone our secretary, David, on 0419 414 309 in advance to arrange your visit.

So that we can showcase our modelling and operational capabilities to a larger audience, members of MMRS have built an exhibition layout Naradhan. The layout represents a fictitious Victorian country town west of Melbourne but pays homage to the NSW township that inspired its track design through the retention of its name.

The technology underlying this layout is a combination of DCC for locomotive activity and Cbus for all other layout activities such as Points, Signals, Uncouplers and Block occupancy. These two technologies are merged using JMRI software on a PC which provides the Panel and Throttle operation over WiFi to mobile phones or tablets.

Naradhan will be displayed at the Australian Model Railway Association’s exhibition at Caulfield Racecourse on 25th and 26th August.
